Your Captain David has been fishing for over 45 years and has extensive experience not only on Lake Michigan but around the world. He is an avid outdoorsman with hunting and fishing experience from all around the globe having made recent trips to Africa, Argentina, New Zeeland, Canada, Mexico, Belize, the Bahamas, Cabo San Lucas and many other destinations. David fishes the Great Lakes
and their tributaries year round both for hire, competition and for personal pleasure. He has extensive tournament experience with many top ten finishes/team finishes in tournaments on Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. In 2010 his Team placed 4th in the Ludington Offshore Classic one of the largest tournaments on the lake and 2nd in the Frankfort Benzie Frenzie. He grew up in Milwaukee and began fishing trout and salmon in Lake Michigan when he was 4 years old.
David has been a licensed captain for 10 years and has over 40 years of boating experience. Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, productive, educational, and, above all else, fun day on the water. He understands that there is much more to a successful charter experience than just catching fish. Captain Baker enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with his customers and is happy to provide “hands on, how to” type charters.
He also finds great joy in seeing new anglers experience great lakes fishing. Inexperienced anglers, first time great lakes anglers, disabled anglers and children are always welcome on the Hot Ticket II.
